Privacy Policy
How JSON Formatter handles your data, in plain terms.
JSON Formatter is a browser-based JSON tool. This policy explains what happens to the data you paste into it, and what the site itself does and does not collect.
What happens to the JSON you paste
Everything runs inside your browser. Formatting, minifying, validation, key sorting, and tree rendering are performed by JavaScript on your own device. The text you paste is never uploaded, never sent to a server, and never stored by us. Closing the tab discards it.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets no cookies. It does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or service workers. Nothing about your session is persisted between visits.
Analytics
This site does not use any third-party analytics service. There is no Google Analytics and no equivalent tool, and no measurement script is loaded. No page-view data is reported to any analytics provider.
Advertising
This site does not load any advertising scripts. There is no ad network, no ad slot, and no advertising cookie.
Hosting logs
The site is delivered as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Like any hosting provider, Cloudflare records standard request logs such as IP address, timestamp, and user agent. Those logs are handled by Cloudflare under its own privacy policy and are outside our control. They are not connected to the text you paste, which never leaves your browser.
External links
Some pages link to specifications on rfc-editor.org and tc39.es so you can check the rules this tool follows. Those resources are requested only if you click the link. Once you are on those sites, their own privacy policies apply.
Affiliate links
There are currently no affiliate links on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated before any such link goes live.
Changes to this policy
If the practices described here change, this page will be updated and the effective date below will change with it.
